(Im)perceptible Women In Graphic Design is the title of the research study which deals with the gender inequalities within the graphic design sector.

In the history of graphic design, most of the celebrated designers have been men, but this does not mean that women have not been present in the design process. A written history that focuses on men's achievements, and labelling things as masculine or feminine have all contributed to the erasure of women.

The invisibility of women in the profession is the result of an intersection of processes, which could be reduced by changing working conditions, breaking out of traditional gender roles and looking at history from a different perspective, among other things.
Parts of the general gender problem are studied alongside their impact on graphic design.
The state of design in Austria is examined through its entrepreneurial structures and design education at universities, which is compared with universities of other European countries.
Furthermore, aspirations towards gender balance in the profession are presented.
